Current Trends in Antibiotic Research

Bacterial infections are treated by the drugs called antibiotics, whereas in viral infections the antibiotics does not effect. Initially, an antibiotic was a substance made by one microorganism that selectively inhibits the growth of another. When given in therapeutic dosage condition, several antibiotics are also effective against fungi and  protozoans, and some are toxic to humans and animals, and it is analysed by Clinical trials before the availability in the market.

  • Novel antibacterial drug discovery
  • Investigating antibiotic use and determining minimal -risk policies
  • Nutrition as a method of controlling bacterial infections
  • Antibacterial resistance
