Clinical Microbiology

Clinical Microbiology involves the detection, characterization and quantification of Microbes from an organism to enable the diagnosis, management and treatment of infectious diseases. Aerobic and anaerobic bacteriology, mycobacteriology, parasitology, virology and mycology are performed in Clinical Microbiology laboratories. Clinical Microbiology is a rather complex study, because it utilizes many different types of methods and it constantly undergoes testing methods changes.
